Art in the Park is the top fundraiser held by the Elko County Art Club (ECAC). Art in the Park (AIP) is a weekend event with hundreds of vendors coming from all across the west! The event itself is held in the Elko City Park, and it is here under the big trees where countless vendors come to sell their artwork and handmade crafts. Food vendors are also present to keep everyone full while shopping. The event is well attended by thousands of people in the community and is an annual tradition. AIP is held this year (2018) on July 14th and 15th with set-up on the afternoon of Friday the 13th. Proceeds from this event support the ECAC’s activities, scholarship awards and the Art Gallery. The entire AIP event is organized and run by the dedicated members of the Elko County Art Club.
This two-day family friendly event is free for all visitors and attendees! We want to encourage local artists from Elko County and surroundings to sign up early to get preferred booth size and space.
This year’s marketplace will include both new and returning vendors with custom goods including art, jewelry, specialty foods, children’s items and much more. Please check back periodically to see the list of vendors, entertainment, and food trucks
NEW VENDORS ONLY: Please submit three photographs of your items being created at the beginning of the project, in the middle of it, and at the completion stage if you are an artist. If you are not an artist, please submit photos of what you plan to bring.
So come on out and join us at Elko's largest art-based event and bring your friends and family. This wonderful summer event is FREE to any and all visitors!
ECAC Member Participation and Benefits: This event requires the manpower of ECAC to make it a success. All members are encouraged to assist with this annual major fundraiser, and any member who assists can display art in the general club booth for free (number of pieces per each artist determined by the Art in the Park Chairs. If a member would like their own booth, the member needs to sign up and complete volunteer hours of service, in turn, the member will receive a booth space for a reduced cost (includes Booth and day license) for their assistance for that year.
Non-assisting members will pay full booth price. The AIP chairperson, ECAC club officers and ECAC gallery director will each receive a free booth space for that year.
